Atwater PAL
provides a common meeting ground for police, citizens and the youth of the City of Atwater & Merced County in the area of social, educational & recreational activities in order to foster and encourage said youth, faith of American principles and in the traditions of sportsmanship, good will and friendship.
Impacting the lives of young people and reducing juvenile crime by offering alternative and positive self-esteem building experiences through sports and educational activities.

The main objective of PAL is to provide quality and adult supervised programs that will foster a closer relationship between Law Enforcement Officers and the Youth of Atwater and encourage a closer cooperation between Youth and Law Enforcement Officers, which, builds understanding and respect.
The second objective of PAL is to reduce Youth Crimes, Violence, Alcohol and Drug use through Positive Interaction!
